Notices in this section are limited to names of those who have achieved pioneer status through many years in the North, or who are otherwise of unquestioned importance in the daily scene.

Theodore "Teddy" Watch, 91, early-day gold miner and longtime resident of Dawson City, died at St. Mary's Hospital there May 4. Born in Czechoslovakia, he came to the Yukon in 1907, mined on Cold Hill and Eureka Creek, and worked for many years for the Yukon Gold Company in its hydraulic operation. Later he moved into town to live, and became a resident of the Sunset Home at Dawson. [Sep1965]
