In 1933 Mr. Stevens and his wife, Jessie, opened a ladies apparel shop, Stevens of Juneau, in which he continued to take an active part until the time of his passing. He was one of the founders of the Alaska Federal Savings and Loan Association, and was a member of its board of directors, as well as secretary, at the time of his death. [Oct1967]
