Rae Carol Stedman, 60, a long-time educator in Petersburg, died there December 28. She came to Petersburg in 1944 and most of her career was devoted to teaching second grade. She wrote the local newspaper column Did You Know, featuring grass roots news about Petersburg residents and former residents, for many years. Her husband, William, survives.� [May1981]
