Mike Babic, 72, a forty-year Alaskan, died January 11 in Seattle. He had worked at Kennicott, in construction of The Alaska Railroad, and at Latouche before moving to Cordova in 1930, where he operated a fishing boat. Surviving are the widow, Edith, a son. Jack Babic, Edmonds, Washington, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Young, Kent, Washington; Mrs. Margaret Hicks, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, and Mrs. Audrey Barnhart, Spokane, Washington.
