Mrs. Marie Anna Tukten, pioneer Homer homestead wife, died in June at the age of 77. A fifty-year resident of Alaska, she moved to Anchorage twenty-five years ago after homesteading on the southern Kenai. Surviving is her husband in Anchorage, two sons, John A. and Arvis, both residing in California, and a daughter, Mrs. E, Monroe, of Kenai. [Aug1968]
