Lincoln Blassi, 88, a whaling harpooner, died October 24 in Nome. He was born in Gambell and lived there most of his life until moving to Nome in his later years. The story of his youth on Saint Lawrence Island appeared in the July and August 1978, issues of ALASKA magazine. [Feb1981]
