Dr. Levi Browning of Palmer, Alaska, died July 30 at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, of cancer. A 32 year resident of Alaska, Dr. Browning was Alaska Coordinator for the Washington Alaska Regional Medical Program at the time of his death. He had been Commanding Surgeon at Elmendorf AFB Hospital, retiring from the Air Force in 1959, end was Commissioner of Health and Welfare for the State of Alaska from 1964 through 1967. His wife, Sally, survives at their Palmer home.
