June Biffle, 86, died April 2. She came to Alaska in 1954 with her husband, Roy. In the late 1950s, she worked at the Pacific Northern Airways flight kitchen, the Oyster Loaf Cafe and the Anchorage Library. In 1964, she completed her degree in elementary education and library science, and became a teacher at Williwaw Elementary School. She and Roy homesteaded near Bonnie Lake. [July/Aug2009]
