A resident of Fairbanks since 1921, Mrs. Josephine J. Newlan drowned at her home on August 15 during the height of the recent flood. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Pioneers of Alaska Auxiliary. Surviving is a son, Allan Elliott. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church with interment In the Pioneers Plot at Birch Hill Cemetery.� � [Nov1967]
