Jerome Simson, 84, an early-day resident of Nome and an active member of the Southern California Alaska-Yukon Sourdough Club, died September 1 in Arcadia, California. He lived in Nome from 1905 until 1918, when the family store, Sirnson Brothers, was closed. His wife, Virginia Kuppler Sirnson, survives. [Feb1981]
