Harry Hadsen, 80, died September 1 in the Veterans Hospital in Martinez, California. He came to Alaska with his family in 1911 and lived in Teikel, Seward, and Knik. In 1920 he went to work for the Alaska Engineering Commission and then the Alaska Railroad. Later he cut timber for the Healy River Coal Mine, and from 1944 to 1952 he was in charge of buildings and grounds at Ladd Field near Fairbanks. Upon retirement, he purchased Max Rede's store at Fox and operated it for several years. [Feb1981]Ã?Â
