Mrs. Georgina Boettcher, a former teacher and long-time resident of Alaska, died in February in Chehalis, Washington. She and her husband, Bernard, came to Alaska in 1940 to teach at Kodiak, They later taught at Tanana, Cordova, Kaka, Ketchikan and Mt. Edgeeumbe before moving to Sitka in 1948, The couple taught in Sitka schools for 21 years until they moved to Chehalis in 1969. Mrs. Boettcher is survived 'by her widower;' a daughter, Mrs. Berna Joy Ranch, California, and two sons. Dr. William Boettcher, Seattle, and Richard Boettcher, Texas.

Note: The Washington Death Index shows that Georgina died 13 February 1971 in Chehalis, Chehalis Co., WA.
