Freddie R. "Curly" Bennett, 90, a Wrangell pioneer, died September 23 at Wrangell Hospital. He arrived in Wrangell more than 40 years ago and worked in the town's old shingle mill and also as a cook for ftah trap crews and logging camps. [Feb1981]
