Col. Fred C. Davies, who spent many years in Alaska and the Yukon Territory, died December 10 in San Clemente. California. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported that he once was a Wells Fargo stagecoach driver and he drove a mule-drawn stage for Fred Orron the Valdez-to-Fairbanks run over the Richardson Highway.� [May1981]
