Emerson Edwards, 95, a Yukon pioneer, died January 14 in British Columbia. A bargeman for the Yukon Telegraph Company in 1898-1900, he delivered supplies to isolated operators along the river; later he prospected and mined on Thistle Creek with his partner, Cy Detraz Ha and his wife of 50 years, Maud, had one daughter, but by the time of his death there were no known survivors.
