Allen Rock, 88, one of Point Hope's great whalers, died January 12 In Anchorage. A traditionalist who followed ancient hunting principles, he was respected in his village for his ability as a hunter. Survivors include his widow, Frances; two adopted sons, Elijah and Rex Allen; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Seveck and Mrs. Ruth Nash, and two brothers, Eebrulik Rock and Howard Rock, editor of the Tundra Times. Final funeral services will be at Point Hope in July,
